Kidneys are the bean shaped organ which is situated in the two sides of the lower back of a human body. Kidneys are the organ which filters impurities and anything which is in excess in our blood. So from excess water to deposit of excess minerals in the blood, Kidney safeguards our health against all negativities. What happens when a kidney fail then? The impurities don’t get filtered and our health is affected negatively. So how do we help the damaged or injured kidneys to function? It is through a term called Dialysis which can be done in hospitals. Dialysis is a method of filtering impurities from the blood and restoring it back in the body through a dialysis machine. So Dialysis therapy is that therapy where the functions of the damaged kidneys are taken care by an external machine which will be attached to the AV fistula vein in the hand of a patient. Dialysis therapy is done on patients who have acute kidney damage, renal failure, end stage kidney failure whose functioning of the kidneys are up till 15% only.  The number of patients with kidney issues and diabetes is on a rise in India today. Researchers are of the opinion that India will turn into having the largest number of patients with kidney related issues by the next 10 years. So the demand for Dialysis Therapists or dialysis technicians is already on a high now and will be in future.
